Our impact

Real Change. Real Lives.

Numbers tell part of the story. But behind every statistic is a young person who found their voice, discovered their potential, and built a future they're proud of.

Voices from our community

Raman T.

Literacy & Learning

Age 14

From struggling reader to class storyteller

When Raman joined our Literacy & Learning program two years ago, he was reading two grade levels behind. He was quiet, frustrated, and convinced he just wasn't a 'book person.' Today, Raman leads his school's creative writing club and just finished his first short story collection. 'I didn't think reading was for me,' he says. 'Now I can't stop.'

Jasmine R.

Youth Leadership Academy

Age 16

Finding her voice — and using it

Jasmine came to the Youth Leadership Academy shy and unsure of herself. By the end of the semester, she had organized a community clean-up, delivered a speech at city hall, and earned a full scholarship to a summer leadership institute. 'I learned that my voice matters,' she says. 'And I'm never going to stop using it.'

Anmol M.

Mentorship Circle (Alumni)

Age 19

First in his family to go to college

Anmol was the first person in his family to apply to college — and he didn't know where to start. His mentor walked with him through every step: applications, essays, financial aid, and the fear of the unknown. Darius is now a sophomore studying computer science. 'My mentor believed in me before I believed in myself. That changed everything.'

Blooms and Build didn't just help my son with reading — it gave him confidence. He walks into school differently now.
